Thursday 10th August - Woking
After the previous days heavy and persistent rainfall, we were  blessed with a balmy mid summer day upon our return to the popular Woking Golf Club.

Despite the prior news of some major works on the greens, the course proved to be a delight to play with heather in full bloom albeit a hazard for some! We were greeted by a very helpful staff with the evening dinner well up to prime Surrey golf club standards. We will be returning at the same time next year.

Attendance of 38 was pleasing to see which included 6 guests.

Winner of the Douglas Wilson Salver was Jon Paddon with an excellent score of 38 points closely followed by Tim O'Donovan with 37 points (on countback).

The winning team  with 90 points was Trevor Miles, Eric Saunders & John Rea(guest).

A large vote of thanks to Jon Paddon (again) for taking on the Officer of the Day duties in such a professional manner that the Secretary's role will soon become redundant!!
