Tuesday 18th July - Ashridge
A record attendance for Ashridge of 36 Members and 9 guests enjoyed a balmy Summer's Day on a course with fast running fairways and in excellent condition.
The catering was also up to its usual high standard.A sincere thank you to Stuart Bremner for all his efforts in undertaking the Officer of the Day duties.
Captain Maurice was delighted to present the coveted Presidents Trophy to Paul Green with 39 points playing off a handicap of 27. Runner up, on Priory countback, was Howard Stokes off 22. Well done to both albeit an independent tribunal will now sit in judgement in reviewing their future handicaps!
Special mention should be made of the Jelley family, father Norman winning a nearest the pin with son David being 3 feet away in 2 shots on the difficult 9th hole.
Team winners on a great score of 94 points being father and son Gerry and Jason Hill ably assisted by Tim Page.
Needless to mention, a booking has been made for the same time next year.
