Wednesday 20th September - Moor Park (High Course)
29 Members and 6 Guests arrived on a misty late Summer morning at the High Course at Moor Park.
By tee off time the cloud had lifted to unveil a superb mild day ideal for good scoring. However the course proved to be the winner for the vast majority living up to its Championship status.
Members played for the Edna Farndon Trophy and it was a delight for it to be presented to the winner by our Patron Dave Farndon.
The trophy and top man for the day was Ron Thompson with an excellent score of 41 points playing off a handicap of 18, to date the best number of points in any fixture this year - well done Ron. Runner up was our President, Kim Harris, with a “mere 34 points”.
Needless to say the winning team was Ron accompanied by Tony Robinson and guest Keith Atkins with 82 points.
A big thank you to Brian Cuthbertson for his expertise in making the day run smoothly and his comprehensive display of wines for the prize table and also to Keith White for helping to score and all the staff at Moor Park.
