The Priory Golfing SocietyWednesday 25 May - Burnham Beeches
After a smooth AGM in which the 2021 finances were agreed, Brian Mitchinson was installed as Priory captain for the 2022/23 season with Graham Kilbey proposed & seconded as his vice captain. George Michie was roundly thanked for his great leadership & wisdom through a difficult 18 months.
A group of Priory members set off to conquer Burnham Beeches golf course. Despite the later stages being somewhat damp, it was agreed that the low numbers did not detract from the enjoyment & a future visit would be welcomed.
The day was heightened by the presence once again of our patron Dave Farndon who joined us for dinner.
Winner on the day of the Bill Watford Cup was Richard Harris with 35 points. 2nd was Victoria Westgarth two points behind. This also helped them take the winning team prize along with team member Brian Mitchinson.
Nearest the pins were John Thompson & Richard Harris, the latter also being nearest the pin in two on the 15th. The Harris name seems synonymous with Burnham Beeches as father Kim was 2nd & won nearest the pin in our 2019 visit!
